First Day of Preschool
Last night, we read our stack of preschool books one final time to prepare you for the morning. You eagerly talked about Ms. Lynn and Ms. Kasey and what the day would hold. As soon as you fell asleep, Daddy and I got to work, decorating the house to help make the day feel special for you both.
This morning, we were ready for you to wake up, but of course, this was the day you decided to sleep in! Finally, around 7:50 we heard the knocks on the door from inside your bedroom. Together we sprinted upstairs and were greeted with happy, sleepy faces! The "woohoos" and arms straight in the air of celebration of preschool beginning was priceless. You boys made your way downstairs where pancakes shaped like a 2 and a P were waiting for you (2 year old preschool!).
After a calm morning of getting ready, it was finally time to head off to school. Check-in procedure all went smoothly. As we approached your classroom door, you shouted, "My class! Balloons!" (the door was decorated with an archway of balloons). You were ready to sprint into class, as we had to call you back to give you just one kiss. As soon as those kisses were received, you bounced into class, began hanging up your backpacks, and didn't look back!
It was such a devastatingly, proud moment! We've been pumping up preschool in hopes that you'd love it. We talked about all you should expect and warned you that Mommy and Daddy would be leaving, in hopes to avoid tears when we left. And it clearly worked. You didn't hesitate for a moment, as Mommy's heart broke just a little, realizing you didn't need me anymore. I couldn't be more proud of you boys though and know this is going to be such an incredible experience for you.

Wedding Weekend
With Thursday behind us, it was time to celebrate the wedding!! Friday morning began with some amazing, fall-like weather, a family walk, followed by our new home being inspected. We all went over to see the house one more time. You boys checked out the backyard and your new bedroom. I'm not sure how much you really grasp the concept of moving, but you seem to understand that we are going to a new house. As you think of belongings you love, you continue to ask if they'll be coming to the new house with us. "My bed come to new house?" "My toys come to new house?" "My pillow and blanket come to new house?"
From the inspection, it was time for me to get ready for the rehearsal dinner. Zsu Zsu and I headed over early to begin the setup, and you boys and Daddy met us there later. After the rehearsal dinner, Tse Tse, myself, Larry, Charity, and Carly headed downtown for a girls night at a hotel (and my first night ever staying away from you boys!). We stayed up way too late, but had such a fun night!
Saturday morning began bright and early. We were on our way before 9 AM and ready to get this wedding underway. At first, I didn't know what we were going to do all day long, but once there, we realized there was much to do! Seating charts, cookie tables, cake tables, and more had to be decorated. Add eight girls needing to get their hair and makeup done, and time was flying!
Before we knew it, it was go time. The day could not have gone more smoothly or more beautifully. It was an all around perfect day and incredible wedding. You boys were such troopers - no naps all weekend, but you hung in there! You walked down the aisle, holding hands like pros. Thank goodness for Nenny, who was able to take you off during the ceremony so you could get some wiggles out (it had been a long day of waiting around for two two-year olds). Once the dancing began at the reception, my children disappeared, and two dancing animals emerged! You both were whipping out dance moves I didn't know you had. It must have been the atmosphere, but it was one of the highlights of my night, that's for sure!
There have been many ups and downs prior to this wedding, reaching the worst on Thursday, but God completely intervened! Thursday was nothing short of miraculous, letting this weekend be nothing but pure joy and celebration. I was honored to have our entire family standing by Tse Tse and Aaron's side on Saturday. I can't wait to see where their lives take them from here.
